The conference is also being attended by Dr hab. Katarzyna Zajda, Prof. UŁ, Head of the Centre for Social Innovation at the University of Łódź. Prof. Katarzyna Zajda has already delivered her presentation during Semi-Plenary 2: “Rural Discontent and the New Rural Question: Rethinking Democracy in Europe”.
Her presentation, “In the Shadow of Crisis: Everyday Democracy in Rural Poland through the Lens of Formal and Informal Civic Activity” focused on the everyday dimension of democracy in rural areas of Poland, analysed through the lens of formal and informal forms of civic activity.
